FARGO, N.D. – For the first time in nearly 100 years, the North Dakota FFA State Convention is moving to a larger venue to accommodate a surge in membership and participation. Beginning in 2025, the event will be held at the Sanford Health Athletic Complex (SHAC) at North Dakota State University (NDSU), marking a historic shift for one of the state’s largest student organizations.

For decades, the convention has been held at NDSU’s Bentson Bunker Fieldhouse, but rising attendance has made the space increasingly inadequate. The 2024 convention drew more than 1,800 members and guests, many of whom stood due to limited seating. The move to SHAC will offer expanded facilities, increased capacity and a more dynamic experience for attendees.

“This transition is about more than just space—it’s about opportunity,” said Laiken DeMorrett, Executive Director of the North Dakota FFA Foundation. “Our members deserve a convention that matches their ambition, and this move ensures they will have the resources and experience to thrive.”

The larger venue also presents new opportunities for industry partners and sponsors who want to support agricultural education and workforce development. The North Dakota FFA Foundation is actively seeking partnerships to help make the expanded event a success. Sponsorship packages offer branding opportunities, premium booth placements and visibility in front of thousands of engaged students, educators and industry leaders.

Sponsorship opportunities include:

  • Presenting Sponsor ($25,000) – The highest level of sponsorship, limited to one, providing naming rights, co-branded logos, and a 60-second commercial aired at each session.

  • Session Sponsor ($10,000) – Only one session sponsor will be sold per session, ensuring exclusivity and high visibility during main sessions, plus a 30-second commercial. If a Presenting Sponsor is secured, they will also be featured, but no more than two sponsors will be visible per session.

  • Suite Sponsor ($7,500): A branded hospitality suite and logo placements.

  • Celebration Banquet Sponsor ($1,500): Branding at the banquet honoring State and American Degree recipients. Participants include parents, members, sponsors and advisors.

With a combined reach of 9,000+ engaged social media followers, 8,700 direct mail recipients and 1,800 in-person convention attendees, sponsors have the opportunity to connect with a highly targeted, statewide audience of agricultural leaders, educators, and future professionals—all while directly supporting the next generation of North Dakota’s workforce.

Event Details:

  • Dates: June 2–5, 2025

  • Location: Sanford Health Athletic Complex, NDSU, Fargo, N.D.
