Sowing Uncertainty: Tariffs and China Shake Up Ag Markets

Up to 70 countries have contacted the White House seeking to negotiate tariffs lower, although China isn’t one of them.  Today’s markets showed some nerves, especially in the S&P, as traders kept a close eye on the clock. Chinese tariff pressure is set to kick in after midnight, adding to the weight on investor sentiment. This week’s WASDE report is expected to be largely uneventful, with no major surprises anticipated. Meanwhile, the cattle market continues to struggle, unable to find a stable footing amid broader economic uncertainty and lingering trade concerns.
