
Grain and oilseed markets are sliding today under the weight of technical selling, improving weather across much of the U.S., and lingering concerns over export demand as the trade war with China drags on. On the livestock side, live cattle futures are getting a lift from Monday’s solid gains in wholesale beef and continued strength in Plains cash cattle. Feeder cattle are also climbing—helped by lower corn prices, firmer cash values, and ongoing uncertainty about Mexican feeder imports, even after USDA Secretary Rollins announced a deal with Mexico on screwworm pest control.
