SALINA, KS (May 14, 2025) – Great Plains has expanded its line of narrow-transport box drills with new sizes of the BD7410 min-till drill and the BD7510, a new box drill for no-till producers. Built upon the legacy of the BD7600 box drill, producers can expect greater freedom to move field-to-field and navigate narrow gates, roadways, and more with the new narrow-transport models – all while maintaining consistent seeding and dependability.

Both the BD7410 and BD7510 utilize the trusted Great Plains Metering System to meter large seeds, small seeds, and fertilizer and a large box capacity with optional split-box capabilities. These models can be outfitted with an optional small seeds box attachment, Keeton® Seed Firmers, and smooth performance seed tubes to enhance seeding delivery. For ease of transport, the BD7410 and BD7510 fold to under 10′ to navigate narrow roadways, bridges, gates, and more. Both models feature hydraulic tongue latches and fold/unfold with a single hydraulic lever from the cab. This allows producers to quickly change between transporting and operation to maximize productivity in the field.
Now available in 15′ and 20′ models, the BD7410 is a min-till drill offered in 5″, 6″, or 7.5″ row spacings. With 00 Series openers, these models ease penetration in difficult conditions and can be adjusted with an 18-position t-handle. The BD7410 has an opener sub-frame with multiple pin positions to fine tune the down pressure that the hydraulic cylinders apply – allowing the producer to quickly change the amount of down pressure and easily lift it out of the way for transport and end-rows. The BD7410 is also available in a 13′ model.
New for no-till producers, the BD7510 15′ and 20′ models provide a rugged option with a leading coulter for tough soil conditions. The BD7510 models are offered in 7.5″ row spacing and the 15′ has an option for 6″ row spacing. Both working widths are available with a native grass box option to meter even the fluffiest native grass seed mixes.
