President Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has updated the lease terminations listed on its Wall of Receipts, significantly impacting USDA offices. In March, nearly 750 government office lease terminations were included in the list as part of DOGE’s plan to “maximize governmental efficiency and productivity.” Now, the number of listed offices is under 500, with many USDA offices being removed. One of the offices no longer listed is the Hendersonville Farm Service Agency (FSA) office in North Carolina. Reports indicate two sources familiar with the office confirmed a change in its lease status, with one stating the lease was renewed. This change occurs amidst Elon Musk’s reported departure from the Trump administration. Comparing the current DOGE list, more than 70 USDA offices have been removed, with FSA and Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) offices making up the majority.
