(Mercer County, ND) — A new wind farm could be developed between two North Dakota counties. Minnesota Power officials recently announced the Longspur Wind Project, a proposal to construct a 45-turbine wind farm in North Dakota. The farm would be located between Mercer and Morton counties. Minnesota Power and its parent company – Allete – hope to break ground for the project by next year, with the wind farm fully operational by late 2027.
