Houston, TX – This week, Mahindra Ag North America (MAgNA), the world leader in farm tractor sales by volume, hosted a joint event with the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) at its Houston headquarters. AEM’s national bus tour, which stopped in Houston, the equipment manufacturing capital of the country, highlighted MAgNA’s contributions to the state’s economy and manufacturing industry. These companies are the lifeblood of our economy, driving employment and commerce, while enriching the fabric of our communities.

MAgNA opened its doors to the local community’s students and educators to honor the 345,000 Texans – and 2.3 million men and women nationwide – who build, power and feed the world through equipment manufacturing. This event recognized the company’s hundreds of U.S. employees and family-owned dealers across the country, who work together to deliver the toughest tractors and utility vehicles to farmers, property owners and workers.

“For over 30 years, Mahindra Ag North America has proudly stood at the intersection of innovation and purpose in the manufacturing landscape,” said Viren Popli, President & CEO, Mahindra Ag North America. “This event provided a chance to celebrate manufacturing, our U.S. heritage, and connect with students to explore career opportunities in agriculture and manufacturing.”

Mahindra employees and guests had the opportunity to interact with AEM staff and participate in its “Manufacturing Challenge”  to learn more about policies and programs that support manufacturing jobs. Guests explored career opportunities and learned about AEM’s grassroots initiative, I Make America, which advocates for policies that strengthen U.S. manufacturing while enjoying food, entertainment and winning prizes. This tour highlights the manufacturing workforce, the people and companies whose dedication powers, builds, and sustains our world.

“The AEM Manufacturing Express is about celebrating the people behind the equipment and services our industry provides, including the workers at Mahindra Ag North America,” said Megan Tanel, AEM President and CEO. “It’s about honoring the hard work and ingenuity of the men and women who make our industry strong. This summer, as we travel through Texas, we’re not just showcasing equipment – we’re telling the stories of communities, families and innovators who power our nation.”

MAgNA products are designed with innovation in mind, bringing new technological features to tractor owners. Its latest products continue to exemplify a culture of advancement and innovation, boasting competitive features that enhance comfort, make them easy to operate for first-time owners and tackle the toughest jobs.

MAgNA’s farm equipment is assembled in the company’s Houston, Texas and Pontiac, Michigan facilities:

·       In 2021, MAgNA reintroduced its popular ROXOR side-by-side off-road vehicle, a heavy-duty utility terrain vehicle used for daily farm chores and off-road adventures.

·       Most recently, MAgNA introduced the sub-compact 1100 and compact 2100 tractors – offering power, durability, comfort and ease of use to serve the needs of rural property owners, ranchers and small farmers.

Mahindra’s compact and subcompact tractors include features such as tilt telescopic steering with conveniently positioned controls as well as side shift controls with color-coded knobs. This comes in addition to easy-start panels, intuitive controls, side-by-side pedals, seat comfort and a climate control cab.
