MANKATO – The Minnesota Crop Production Retailers (MCPR) and the Minnesota Certified Crop Adviser Board are excited to introduce the Minnesota Certified Crop Adviser Award (CCA Award). This award recognizes an individual who has performed superior service for their farmer customers in nutrient management, soil and water management, integrated pest management and crop production. Nominations must be submitted by 4 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 10, 2025.

“Minnesota is home to some of the most dedicated and knowledgeable CCAs in the country – smart, ethical and forward-thinking advisers who help growers succeed,” said Emma Haydock, MCPR 4R coordinator and CCA administrator. “The Minnesota CCA of the Year Award is our chance to spotlight their excellence.”

The CCA Award is designed to recognize a crop adviser who is highly innovative, delivers exceptional customer service and is a leader in their field. To be considered, CCAs must be certified in Minnesota. Any adviser/consultant that spends the majority of their time advising growers or farm managers/operators on agronomic practices and can meet the standards of the program are eligible for nomination.

“The deadline is coming up fast,” Haydock said. “Don’t miss your chance to nominate a CCA and help us celebrate the professionals who keep Minnesota agriculture thriving. Good work often goes unrecognized. Let’s give Minnesota’s best CCAs the recognition they deserve.”

Aiming to increase awareness that farmers and their service people strive to do their best in making economically and environmentally sound cropping decisions, the award highlights the vital role CCAs play in Minnesota’s agriculture industry.
