Founded by Virgil Eihusen as a residential construction company, it has grown into a diversified global enterprise with over 1,400 employees. The company operates through seven specialized divisions, including Chief Agri, which manufactures grain storage and handling equipment; Chief Buildings, producing non-residential metal building systems; Chief Ethanol Fuels, operating Nebraska’s first dry-mill ethanol plant; and Chief Carriers, offering trucking and logistics services.
