
WASHINGTON, DC – The National Oilseed Processors Association (NOPA) and the Corn Refiners Association (CRA) today commended the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (NASDA) for unanimously adopting a resolution to engage with USDA and HHS to ensure that the safety and nutritional benefits of vegetable oils are accurately represented.
The resolution, which was approved by the convened Secretaries, Administrators, Commissioners and Directors of Agriculture for their respective states, reads:
NASDA will submit public comments on any relevant USDA or HHS guidance or rulemaking, including but not limited to those seeking alignment with the Dietary Guidelines for Americans, to ensure that the safety, the body of evidence-based research, and the health and nutritional benefits of vegetable oils are accurately and scientifically represented.
