OLATHE, Kansas – John Deere (NYSE: DE) announced today an addition to the C-Series air cart lineup – the C1100T – a larger capacity trailing option to help farmers achieve more acres between refills. This new air cart includes all the features of other C-Series carts, including AccuRate™ meters, EZ
“Small grains farmers are challenged to put their seed in the ground in a small window of time,” said Anthony Styczinski, John Deere marketing manager for seeders and planters. “A larger-capacity cart enables them to cover more acres between refills, maximizing productivity during the crucial seeding window.”
C-Series features are designed to enhance precision
In addition to extra capacity, the new C1100T includes features that
AccuRate meters are corrosion-
Another feature of the C-Series carts is the industry-exclusive John Deere EZCal system – a push-button calibration system that is faster and more efficient than older, manual bag calibration systems, eliminating the need to crawl under the cart to calibrate while also decreasing the back and forth steps to complete this task.
“Productivity is important during a tight seeding window,” Styczinski said. “Having the ability to calibrate your equipment throughout the day from the cab helps operators monitor
New features for ease of use
A new feature on the C1100T is an EZLift system that allows operators to lift bulk bags to dump into tanks. The lift can reach bags on the ground, a trailer, truck bed or storage platform. A bulk bag storage platform provides extra bag storage, helping with efficiency.
Another new feature to help make seed handling more efficient is a 12” hydraulic conveyor. The longer conveyor allows for easier tendering of untreated seed and increases clearance near the tires. A stainless steel hopper decreases maintenance. In addition to the conveyor, the front platform has been redesigned with walk-over stairs for easier access to cross hitch.
The cart also includes a larger flex tank, increasing storage to 105 bushels, increasing the versatility of the tank.
Logistics to keep the operation flowing
Multi-tank air seeders with a G5 or G5Plus Command Center display and G5 Advanced license have access to the new John Deere Operations Center™ Logistics feature that will show an estimate of how long and how much area remains until the tank is empty. This feature helps tenders and operators know when a refill is needed, ensuring everyone is in the right place at the right time to maximize productivity. The feature is available whether the air seeder is applying at a flat rate or using a variable rate prescription.
Precision upgrades improve air cart productivity
The AccuRate metering system is now compatible with the John Deere 1910 air carts with two and three tank configurations. These meters reduce maintenance and minimize crop buildup with anti-static composite shoots. Additional options include an in-tank and platform lighting package. EZCal technology offers an added layer of simplicity providing operators with the ability to calibrate meters while tendering with the push of a button.
Another precision upgrade available for air carts is the RelativeFlow™ blockage system that upgrades the existing tool with the same technology available on new equipment. Sensors monitor the relative rate of product flow row-to-row and help sense blocks before they happen, eliminating skips and uneven emergence.

*Based on seeding with an 8 primary run air cart and an 80ft (24m) air seeder. Prescription zones would improve from 80ft (24m) to 10ft (3m) zones
