(Bismarck, ND) — The North Dakota State University Extension is urging farmers to protect livestock from the spread of avian flu. Experts say wild bird movement may result in an increase of avian flu cases as the spring migration gets underway. The illness can be spread to domestic poultry flocks and it can impact dairy cattle as well. Officials recommend taking steps to limit contact between livestock and wild birds.
