(Bismarck, ND) — The Hay Hotline is back in North Dakota. It’s an opportunity for ranchers to request hay or list a surplus of hay for sale or donation. The North Dakota Department of Agriculture provides a list of locations where ranchers can find hay resources on its website. The department is also asking producers to report drought conditions to the National Drought Mitigation Center.
“Ranchers who need hay, or those with hay to sell or with pasture or hayland to rent may use our online form and map, or give us a call,” says Ag Commissioner Doug Goehring. “Your name and information will be entered into the Hay Hotline database to be matched up with others.”
To view hay, pasture and hayland available, producers may visit the self-service Hay Hotline map. To list any of those resources, producers may utilize the Hay Hotline online form. A special Hay Hotline program number is also available at 701-328-5110, weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
