DENVER, CO.– The ASI Wool Council and the American Sheep Industry Association (ASI), have launched the 2026 Reimagine Wool Digital Poster Contest. This contest is a nationwide call for creative thinkers, designers, students, and industry professionals to help unlock the untapped potential of American wool. The deadline for entries is November 15, 2026.

Each year, millions of pounds of U.S. wool–especially wool greater than 25 microns–is undervalued or discarded. The Reimagine Wool contest challenges innovators to submit a digital poster that showcases new and creative uses, modernized products, or new wool processing methods. This contest incentivizes actionable ideas to restore market value to an underutilized natural fiber.

The top 10 posters will be showcased at the American Sheep Industry Convention in Charleston, SC in January. Cash prizes for winners include:

  • $1,000 – Academic Division Winner
  • $500 – Open Division Winner
  • $500 – People’s Choice Winner

Submissions must be original, visually compelling and clearly communicate the proposed idea. Posters should be designed for a printable display. Anyone can enter and finished products are not a requirement of the contest.

“American wool growers produce an incredible, sustainable natural fiber that deserves broader recognition and better market value,” said Rita Samuelson, ASI Wool Marketing Director. “Through this contest, we’re inviting creative thinkers to rethink what’s possible with coarse wool and build actionable solutions for our industry.”
