KINDRED, N.D. —  As part of CHS Inc.’s 15th annual Harvest for Hunger campaign, CHS Dakota Plains Ag has donated $59,553 to the Great Plains Food Bank to support efforts to end hunger across North Dakota and Clay County, Minnesota.

Driven by the dedication of CHS employees, local farmers, and community members, funds were raised through raffles, silent auctions, grain donations, free-will offering meals, and more. CHS Inc. provided a matching bonus to amplify the local impact.

“We’re incredibly grateful to our local farmers who continue to show up in meaningful ways,” said Daniel Olson, Operations Director at CHS Dakota Plains Ag. “They work hard every day to feed the world, and when we ask them to go even further by donating grain to help fight hunger, they step up with generosity and heart. Their support is what makes campaigns like Harvest for Hunger so impactful.”

This year’s donation from CHS Dakota Plains Ag and CHS Inc. pushes their lifetime giving to the Great Plains Food Bank through Harvest for Hunger campaign to $1.2 million.

“We’re deeply grateful for CHS Dakota Plains Ag and the generosity of the farmers and community members who made this campaign such a success,” said Abby Tow, Major Gift Officer at the Great Plains Food Bank. “Every dollar raised helps us provide meals to those facing food insecurity right here in our local communities. This kind of partnership is truly vital to our mission.”
