Funds continue to play a dominant role in shaping corn and soybean markets, with large speculators leaning heavily short on corn amid ideal weather and limited bullish news. The Safrinha corn crop in Brazil is wrapping up harvest with better-than-expected yields in some areas, adding global supply pressure. On the demand side, U.S. corn remains under scrutiny—ethanol usage is holding steady, but exports continue to lag behind seasonal expectations. Soybean demand is a bit more supportive, particularly on the domestic crush side, but export uncertainty lingers, especially with China showing inconsistent buying behavior. Trade remains a key player in both markets—new deals are welcome, but a lack of major demand shifts or bullish surprises has kept rallies in check.
