It’s been one of the wettest Julys in recent memory across parts of farm country. While the moisture has helped keep corn conditions strong, soybeans are feeling the stress—too much rain heading into August isn’t ideal for pod development. Meanwhile, the markets are eyeing the August 1 trade deadline. Though other countries have been granted extensions, there’s growing concern about tariffs on Brazilian beef and soybeans—and how that might ripple through U.S. agriculture.
