Grains and oilseeds did see some late session strength to finish what was a volatile week of trading headline news and more. Friday on AOA, powered by Cenex, we start the show with Caleb Ragland, President of the American Soybean Association discussing trade news and input prices. In Segment Two, we hear from National Potato Council CEO Kam Quarles about their disappointment on lack of fresh market access in Japan and possible new issues surrounding potatoes between the U.S. and Mexico. In Segment Three, we have a wide-ranging conversation with Senator Roger Marshall (R-KS) followed by a look at ag news headlines in Segment Four.

Cattle Market Breathes Relief as Mexican Border Stays Closed — after a week of market worries over the potential for an early reopening. On this week's Cattle Chatter, Brad Kooima with Kooima Kooima Varilek discusses market stabilization and the limiting factors ahead. While the China trade talks may not directly influence cattle prices, they do offer some psychological relief to the market. And speaking of relief, Brad shares from the heart about the mental strain this week's volatility has placed on cattle producers.

We saw soybeans trade a wide range on Thursday and settle moderately higher amid US/China trade news. The rest of the grain and livestock trade was mostly mixed to lower. Bryan Doherty with Total Farm Marketing joins us for a conversation in the back half of the show while we also get analysis from Kyle Bumsted at Allendale in Segment One.

And also in Segment Two, we have a new episode of Cattle Chatter as Susan Littlefield broadcasts live from the 98th National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, IN and she talks about this volatile cattle trade with Brad Kooima from KKV Trading.

We saw a quiet day in the grains ahead of the meeting between President Trump and President Xi in South Korea.
