On Tuesday, USDA dropped a massive yield estimate for corn at 188.8 bushels per acre for this growing season. That number, along with the 2025/26 corn production forecasted at a record 16.7 billion bushels, would be 1.4 billion bushels more than the prior record set in 2023/24. Meanwhile, USDA also forecasted a slightly higher soybean yield at 53.6 bushels per acre on the August WASDE Report.
